We are very excited to announce our new T4 Leadership Programme for children and young people aged 8yrs – 18yrs.
The programme has been designed to give the children and young people who are lucky enough to gain a place, the opportunity to learn all that is involved in running a martial arts business and becoming a leader.
We will teach them not only how to run a class, hold pads, create fun exercise and fitness drills, but also customer service, marketing, advertising, social media,, leadership skills, how to be a role model, communication skills, first aid….. and much much more.
The way the programme will work is that we will have an application process (more on this later) and those selected will receive monthly sessions focusing on a key area of development, and will be assigned a monthly T4 challenge. Each week they will volunteer in at least one class to assist the CDA team and carry out their monthly T4 challenge, as well as getting on the mat training, experience and feedback at leading in a class. They will also get a T4 Leadership Programme t-shirt, and special ad hoc sessions specifically for the T4 group.
This programme will be an amazing experience for your children and will really help their confidence, communication skills and will look amazing on a CV.
Who can apply: Children must be 8yrs old and must be training consistently twice a week. They must be able to commit to a Saturday T4 training session once a month, and assist in at least one class a week (children in adults classes will help out in juniors sessions, juniors in Little ninjas, Little ninjas is Ninja Skillz).
The programme will have limited spaces and will take on new members every 12 months.
The students must demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop, and must really want to be part of the programme, not just because their parents think they should
To apply students must write a letter to the CDA Team answering these questions:
1. Why do you want to be on the T4 Leadership programme?
2. Why do you train martial arts?
3. What is the best thing about CDA?
4. What does it mean to be a leader?
All letters must be typed and received by September 12th. Announcement of who has got onto the programme will be made by the end of September.
This is going to be really exciting and we look forward to receiving the applications. Please speak to Lee or Maija if you have any questions.
